Where my life is going...

So I am not real sure why I created this blog, maybe it was just me joining the trend. So after creating this account 6 months ago I will create another post! 2011 ended and was quite the year, I had my best semester ever as a college student, I was blessed to spend 2 months time with one of God's true angels, my relationship with Jesus as grown and blossomed, Jamie and I set a date to get married. YES people I, Vanessa Emerick, am actually going to get married!! Now that we are officially in 2012 it is time for me to hit the ground running! I start the spring semester next week! I have approximatley 330 days until my wedding and a lot to plan :) March will be a SUPER busy month...Gracie will be 4! I will be turning 26...shhh dont tell anyone lol. AND I will be applying to nursing school EEEK. Then in June is the Montoya family reunion in Utah folowed by the Clegg family reunion in July! I would love to go to both reunions, but in reality on top of going to school and planning a wedding I am hoping to purchase a new vehicle in the next month or two as well as try to find a different house. The only good thing about me aging is that I am learning to think things through n not so much "impulse" decisions! meh until next time...

A Step Back in Time

March of 2008 my life changed significantly for the umpteenth time, the Good Lord blessed me with a healthy, beautiful, baby girl. The way I felt when I heard her first cry is unexplainable, and still to this day my heart is filled with love and joy more and more.

The first few weeks of Gracie's life were glorious. I was able to be home with my sweet girl, my mom was coming over during the day to help, and Jamie was able to be home with us every night. Unfortunately this would end soon. When Gracie was just over four weeks old I had to go back to work. For the first two years of Gracie's life I spent countless hours at work and time away from my family. As anyone can imagine this began to take a toll on me and my husband, and our troubles began. Fortunately enough Jamie never stopped fighting for us to be a family, and we made some changes. Jamie took a different job allowing me to quit mine and go back to school. For the last year I have been able to stay home with our little blessing as well as work on getting into nursing school.
The last year has had its ups and downs, and we have had to make many changes to how we live. But overall I couldn't be more blessed to have a man who sacrifices so much to take care of his family and give me everything I want.
